Why is it that many Christians seem to find it acceptable to make fun of Mormons for their beliefs, yet complain about atheists making fun of theirs? [Spirituality & Religion]

@ladycae Some groups just have hate in their DNA. Wars have been fought over religion. The christians think the mormons are to weird. The Mormons just go about their business. And the Atheists just need some one to hate. Their is a old world war two line "There are no atheists on a submarine. You put one on my boat during a depth charge attack, and you see how fast he is on his knees praying to his God

@bhatjc True Christians have only love in their hearts for everyone. all religions including Mormons have done evil things thinking it was right. back in the middle ages, they didn't know any different. but now things are different. people have evolved and while no one can change the past they can change the future. While i think Mormons are misled i treat them with respect and love as do most other true Christians.

@Emosaur a lot of people think they are Christians because they occasionally attend church, they never pray and they never read the world, unfortunately, they have never gotten to the point of salvation because many churches are more social clubs than churches. i went to one for a long time before i came face to face with God. it wasn't at my church, unfortunately. i don't know what no true Scotsman means, but i do know that many churches do not preach the word, they preach a "feel good' sermon.

@ladycae What evil thing mormons have dones. And christians have done a lot of evil things as well.

@Emosaur i won't say "we don't know" because i know. you may noy like that but i know that God exists. he has proven himself to me over and over. so to say "I don't know" would be a lie. as i have told you before unless you are willing to take a leap of faith you will not be able to prove nor disprove the existence of God. But once you open yourself up to believing you will know as i do.

@bhatjc as i said we both have done evil things. all religions have. as for what evil have Mormon's done, well one just has to look at Warren jepps. this was said not to bash you but as an answer to tour questions. i could care less about him and certainly do not judge Mormons by him.

@Emosaur believing causes knowing. i know though because i have seen with my own two eyes but for you to see what i have you would need to follow me around and fully open your eyes. your welcome to if you want to. i have seen limbs grow and a friend with scoliosis have their back straightened. i have seen a chronically dislocated hip pop back into the joint. all through prayer. but even without that i would still know and believe.
if you want to believe in a flying spaghetti monster go for it. I'll not stop you.

you may do what you want. i believe because i know even without the miracles i've seen that there is a God who loves me and nothing you can say can change. you as i said, can do what you want.i said you'd have to follow me around because God doesn't wait or want the media there so if you're not there you won't see. i just pray that someday you will find what you need to be a whole person without so much animosity.

@ladycae Most mormons want to roast him over a pair. He is a creepy and a perverter of the mormon faith.
