Why is it that many Christians seem to find it acceptable to make fun of Mormons for their beliefs, yet complain about atheists making fun of theirs? [Spirituality & Religion]

I hear ya. Though as an atheist myself I can admit Mormonism is an extra batshit whacko version than other traditional Christian churches and is way more cultish.
I guess that's why.

The other thing to is this. When you are an atheist religions are more just annoyances that present problems at the worst. If you're a believer though, well now you're in a cosmic battle of good vs. evil. That kind of situation allows for justification for that kind of hypocrisy.
