Why do chrisitians maintain that there is only one god when the bible makes it clear that there are many? [Spirituality & Religion]

@Celine El is a word been used to name archangels. To indicate that they are from God such as MikaEL, GabriEL, UriEL, etc...

Elohim is the name of God. That's how they address God.
The Jews call him "Yahweh".
In the present day, some may call God, Father others Lord. It differs when we age but God is still the same. He is always a "just" Father.

@Celine Legally speaking, the "Elohim" word is one of the names/titles they use to name and address God. For some as what you have said pertain to the "other gods". Now to explain to you it is like a statutory construction. In law school, we construe and interpret statutes same as interpreting the bible. The flaw here is with the author. The inspired writers/authors in the bible made use of that one word with different meaning.
For example, I use the word "log" then latter I use "timber". But it is just the same.

The author in the bible is just subtle and careful not to indicate the name of the other gods. The book and their experience pertains to God alone. That is why some lists of the pagan gods and demons are not well named. That's why they remove the book of Enoch from the Holy Bible. It is supposedly about God experience as we rea. To experience him first before entering to the realm of spiritual warfare. It is like stages... Like when we are born are we professionals at instant? Of course not!
Same in the spiritual growth. When we grow strongly and maturedly the soul will have the opening of the eye... then mystery will follow.

You will be haunted by these demons and you will be at peril if you don't have any protection. To be honest I had encountered some demons and still encounter few of the lesser gods and few of the greater gods through spiritual warfare. These gods manifests through a person but I am sensitive to identify them. Most likely because of my charism.

God will judge all the rebelled angels during Last Judgement.
