In that case, why do we see the fossil record showing exclusively less complex to more complex organisms?
Why do we never see a sea turtle in the same fossil layer as trilobite?
Why do we never see a cat in the same fossil layer as a t-rex?

What is the creation-based explanation for this data?

Saw the comment: if you find a gap in their belief, they just fill it with more faith.
