In my full honest opinion, these are those who fear to accept that, GOD/GODS does not exist so they believe in it but still so much driven by their own desires that, they don't want to follow rules of GOD/GODS. So, they created a new Religion of spirituality where they do what they want to do and still believe in a GOD OR GODS.

@SW-User or we could just believe existing religions are equally man-made and prefer to trust in ourselves than old men. Unless God really does endorse and call for misogyny and violence

@SW-User If that's the reason, than Atheism is the answer. Not spirituality. We can't carry pick, what ever suits us.
