What does Christmas mean to you? [Spirituality & Religion]

The only thing I don’t understand living on the west for a while now is if xmas is a religious celebration,how did Santa end up in the middle of it?🤔

@questionWeaver we got Santa in Europe but he has nothing to do with Christmas 😐
@SW-User Interesting ... here, he is called Saint Nick ... which I recall was a European Priest that gave presents to children on Christmas Day

@questionWeaver saint Nickolas..comes on December 6 and leaves the day before xmas..Christmas celebration is associated with little Jesus
Yes ... just read that .. it could be Coca Cola, that associated St Nick to Christmas .... they advertised it heavy for years

@questionWeaver I always thought it’s part of the culture brought by the British to the new world..They are mostly protestant(reformatus) aren’t they? I might be completely off on this one tho
British settled Virginia ... Santa seems to have showed up after 1901
