At church do you worship with arms in the air or at your side? [Spirituality & Religion]

And what do you think of people who do it differently? Do you think it matters?

I've seen different schools of thought on this so I'm curious to hear others' opinion
all kidding aside, it doesnt matter as long as it's about worshipping and not about self attention.

I don't go to church. I worship god in my mind and heart every day :) when i'm alone in my room :) and I imagine my arms up in the air, like my profile photo :)
I guess. If it's from the heart than yes. ??? But if it's just for show ....

" In prayer it is better to have a heart without words than words without a heart. " - John Bunyan.

" And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they might be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. - Matthew 6:5

Also. It's a day of rest and in God's house. Doesn't seem .... respectful to makes too much noise. Sabbath.

I worship in spirit and in truth.....plus I raise my hands.
that is my point martin. testing god is not respectful if you believe in him.

Duchess - Matthew 4: 5 Then the Devil took him along into the holy city,+ and he stationed him on the battlement of the temple 6 and said to him: “If you are a son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written: ‘He will give his angels a command concerning you,’ and, ‘They will carry you on their hands, so that you may not strike your foot against a stone.’” 7 Jesus said to him: “Again it is written: ‘You must not put Jehovah your God to the test.’”

As you see here, they're doing something very wrong, they're testing their own God :(

Neither, because I'm an atheist.

Well i dont really think much of it you see. If someone wants to do it then fine :) but i've never seen anyone do it at my kingdom halls ^^ i guess we dont put our arms up in the air or something like that, because we dont want to pull attention away from whats important :)

I tend to agree with Duchess. I agree with Martin but am not sure I understand the point you are making in regards to the question.

Well we usually just stand calmly and try to listen for a minute or two under the prayer. Then we sit on the chairs calmly (no arms in the air here...) and listen some more 😄

if you keep your arms at your side it's called riverworshipping.

Yeah its a bit of a weird question but i guess he is referring to the more musical churches where everyone stand and sway side to side :)
