If someone lost their soul, by what signs would you be able to tell? [Spirituality & Religion]

How would you distinguish "soullessness" with say, psychopathy?
Or would you say that the psychological disorder of psychopathy is actually evidence of an absence of soul?

For me, a soul is the combination of body and spirit. The goal is to bring these two parts into balance.

To lose one's soul means the eternal separation of the body and spirit, because it's the unity of them that make up my soul.

I think what you refer to as "soullessness," would be what I would call being disconnected from one's spirit.

People with mental illness can still be very spiritual. They, however, struggle to control the physical side of themselves. They feel at odds with themselves.

As opposed to somebody who willfully chooses to let it dominate. A mentally ill person will not like or desire it. The other will embrace it.
