What triggered you to be an atheist?

I see. If ever in doubt, explore the Abrahamic faiths...you might find something that's you. @MetalGreymon

Well i'm not sure what you think i'm supposed to get out of them.
Is the idea that they might seem less obviously made up?

I guess I was trying to point you to some options if you were interested. There's a lot of scientific proof in one of them...@MetalGreymon

@mynameisray
There's scientific proof for what? For the supernatural claims of one of them?
Which one? And can you give an example?

The Qur'an literally describes the life cycle of the human embryo - that was over 1400 years ago and modern day science recently discovered the miracle. Just the one example that stood out for me... @MetalGreymon

Well that's neat.
But i don't see how it should make me accept the supernatural claims.
I mean, i'm pretty sure the anatomical knowledge of embryos was known long before the quran was written.

I was just sharing a view I guess...you post triggered more than just a question lol

Oh that's fine. I'm just not sure how a book having some externally corroborated facts is meant to be convincing on a supernatural basis

@MetalGreymon The ancient Greeks had a series of assumptions about embryonic development, but those assumptions were wrong, and the koran simply repeats those errors (there are a lot of them).

lol that so does not surprise me. Medical history is hilarious.
But i guess that still fits with what i was saying. Whatever knowledge appears in the quran had already existed for centuries

@MetalGreymon Yes, and what's telling is that the errors of the ancient past were replicated in the koran.
