Do you believe in God? Why or why not? [Spirituality & Religion]

I was raised Christian, but frankly, I couldn't understand how a "kind" God would let horrible things happen to good and innocent people. I've been an atheist for over 10 years, yet I find myself wondering about religion sometimes.

I dislike cults and things that we can not prove exist as they always move the goal post Plus I know the start of Christianity and it is stolen pagan traditions
