Why did god punish adam and eve for disobeying him and eating the fruit? [Spirituality & Religion]

Before they ate of the tree of knowledge, they had no understanding of good and evil. So how would they know it was bad to eat the fruit?

It's a myth.

If you analyse history people in the antiquity had a somewhat similar anecdote.

Prometheus en Epimetheus for example had a box that contained all the problems in the world.
Prometheus' wife Pandora opened the box ( that's where the saying '' opening the box of Pandora '' comes from ) and all the problems of the world came out of the box.

In all these stories a woman is always portrayed as the sinner.

Religion and mythology were invented to keep the simple poor people quiet. It was the rich who invented these stories to scare the poor into obedience.
In this case to make women obey and behave graciously and to serve the men like they wanted.

Not only Marx wrote that religion is drug for the simple people.

Multiple Greek writers write this in the antiquity.

This is what two ancient Greek writers wrote :

Writer 1)
- if horses had gods, they would resemble horses.

He meant with that that gods are a perfectionized version of those who invented them.

In the case of human beings God is a perfectionized version of themselves.

Writer 2)

It were not the gods who created humans but humans created the gods.

After you're dead, they put you in a big oven and fry you like a chicken that's getting spit roasted. That's where it stops.

Or you go in a coffin under tons of ground and insects nibble from all your body parts. You become a festivity meal for the worms.

No paradise,no happy ever after. They told you that to keep you quiet, to not do drugs, to not fuck everything you see and to not let you enjoy life to the fullest. That's why you were told such a fairytale.
