Go Pray [Spirituality & Religion]

I feel like "some people" who go to Church and worship the Lord are mentally lazy. The reason why I say this is because when someone ask for advice, the first thing that comes out of some peoples mouth is go pray or read this scripture.I feel like they are mentally lazy and not considering the fact that not everyone is religious. Those who are religious and don't throw their religion or the go pray saying to others but actually used their brain to help I feel are the best.Beforr you start using the go pray or read thus scripture make sure that the person you are talking to is religious themselves,if not then don't force your religion on them unless they give you the okay.

I see where you're coming from, but disagree for these reasons. There's nothing wrong with people stating their beliefs in this forum on any subject. Your criticism, however, singles out some who go to church. Most of us express our views. But only when church goers offer it, is it called “pushing beliefs on others.” What about those on here who have nothing to do with church, yet offer helpful advice? Are they singled out, because of their lifestyle or preferences? People can take it or leave the advise. It has nothing to do with affiliation. It's just people trying to give helpful advice, no matter who it is. Naturally, they're going to offer what they feel is the most helpful, churchgoers or not. They're offering and sharing, not forcing. Vocalizing beliefs is not unique to Christians. Everyone spreads their beliefs, and have that right. They communicate how they feel to others. They don't need an okay before they share. Labeling some churchgoers as being mentally lazy, is unfounded and judgmental.

@LadyGrace To answer your question what about those who have nothing to do with church but offer helpful advice...well as long as the advice focuses and pinpoint to the problem at hand where brainstorming on a solution comes to play.At times praying and reading scriptures don't necessarily help from my and others experience but to actually think and form ideas/solutions does. But hey like the saying goes to each their own. Some things work for most while others don't.And hey if what I put is judgmental there are worser things out there.
@OpalFlower Maybe some things don't help, but people have the right to try. They are not mindreaders. At least they're trying.

You have a point there even though at times I feel like those who say go pray or read this take the easy way out.But you're right at least they are trying.Thank you Lady Grace <3
@OpalFlower But you must also look at their point of view. In their opinion, they are not trying to take the easy way out. They believe it helps. But I see your point. Aside from the subject of this post, I am not in favor of people pushing their beliefs on anyone. Some have accused me of that, however, there is a huge difference between sharing and pushing beliefs. We all have a right to share. Carry on. 😂😂🌷🤗

@OpalFlower I think the point is that it's not relevant whether someone is a churchgoer or not. The Bible still applies. If there is merit to prayer and scripture, then it stands on its own regardless of the church or non-church status of anyone. That said - LadyGrace is right - no one should push their religion on others. But that doesn't happen as often as someone bringing up an issue which has relevance in faith - and it's wrong to demand a "nonreligious" answer.
The laziness comes in not addressing the issue -- rather than just pointing to scripture, if one is not ready to discuss the issue first.
