The Magnificent Seven – Main Theme, Elmer Bernstein (composer)

[media=https://youtu.be/yulmgTcGLZw]
Today is National Film Score Day. In recognition of the day, I’ve posted the main theme for the 1960 film, The Magnificent Seven. Elmer Bernstein composed the piece, as well as the rest of the film’s score.

I think I might have posted this one before, but I don’t care. It’s such great music that it’s worth posting more than once.

Wow, I remember this well. It’s still amazingly epic—67 years later !

In honor of National Film Score Day, I’d like to share one piece I love from composer Ennio Morricone (from one of my favorite movies, Once Upon A Time In The West):

I only recently discovered that the singer is Italian soprano Edda Dell’Orso (91 years and still with us).

@bijouxbroussard It's a fantastic piece of music. I never tire of hearing it.

Yes! I love Once Upon A Time In The West and the movie score. Ennio Morricone was a brilliant composer.

I did not know that. Looked her up and learned she's made recordings as recently as 2018.
