I Put On Headphones And Block Out The World

Everybody (predominantly Black, like me) at my job plays Rap and R&B on the stereo we have in the kitchen, which I listen to sometimes. But little do they know when I put my earbuds in I'm listening to Rock. Sometimes I need a break from all the bad bitches money and drugs. Staind always helps me deal with my feelings.

same for me. I'm black and everyone around me listens to rap, I listen to rock and punk rock music. I tend not to say my opinion about rap music-- that I sometimes find it offense--and I'm almost 17 thinking that! But I know a few close friends who still like me and have similar interests in rock music. But I think it's better to just ignore the people who think of you differently, if they don't like your interests and think you're weird, that's their problem...

Luckily I had friends like you when I was 17. Now it seems harder making Black friends with similar music interests. I mean I like a lot of genres but Rock is my fave.
