Not sure how to feel about this one but I love K. Flay’s covers…

…and I love “Like A Version” as a source for very interesting cover songs.

I've seen K a few times and she rocks. Not loving this cover much

@gdon39 I really enjoy her music. Her cover of Green Day’s Brain Stew is probably my favorite at this time. Yeah I don’t like this song. I stopped listening to Gwen before she left No Doubt. She’s a uniquely talented artist but she’s not my style of musician.
No Doubt and GS aren't really my cup of tea (except for one ND song), but on the topic of cover versions, here's a couple of random ones that I wonder what you might think of ...

This is the only ND song I ever really liked

@BlueGreenGrey great song. Ironically art imitates life as she broke off the relationship with her boyfriend/ band mate. I actually like a few ND songs and have since high school. Especially enjoyed the songs that she did with Bradley Nowell of Sublime. I remember thinking that they were like the Johnny Cash and June Carter of the Orange County/So Cal punk scene. I went through a very intense and involved punk phase in HS that was pretty much all wrapped up by 1996/97 when I was done with HS. I had a deeper respect for and appreciation of the Nor Cal punk bands like Rancid and Green Day but Sublime Slightly Stoopid Long Beach Dub Allstars and eventually a show or two of Shortbus were things that I would never miss when they came around. Geez I get so nostalgic for those simpler times when all I worried about was getting a ticket for the show and whether or not it came with in and out privileges so that I could partake in some cannabis fueled pre funk activities between the opening bands and the headliners sets. lol
