"I've Just Seen A Face -- The Dillards

Lovely bluegrass version of the Beatles song, "I've Just Seen a Face", recorded by The Dillards.

The Salem, Missouri band is noted for their occasional musical performances on The Andy Griffith Show in the 1960s. They were pioneers in the development of southern California folk rock, country rock, and progressive bluegrass. And their influence extended to other musical artists, such as Elton John, The Eagles, and The Byrds. Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones has mentioned their influence in his decision to play the mandolin.

Founded in the late 1950s, the group continues to perform, but with a mostly new lineup. Rodney Dillard, who turns 79 years old today, is the only surviving original member of The Dillards and he remains active with the band. Happy birthday to Mr. Dillard.

Have you seen The Andy Griffith Show? I don't think it has ever been shown in your neck of the woods.

@hunkalove Yes, I've seen it. They broadcast reruns of the show on one of the classic TV channels.
