My best friend died suddenly

Flooded with memories. I learned from him. He learned from me. We are teammates on so many teams while we grew up. We were in each other’s weddings. Shared great times. He was like a brother. I never told him I loved him…men just don’t do that. Now I wish I had.

I can’t get this song out of my head…

Oh no, that is so sad. Guys only really have one bestie in their life time. Just the guy you grew up always doing the fun stuff with that you could trust implicitly without saying a word. Your love for each other (brotherly love) was always implied at every phone call or handshake or beer you drank together. My husband has a bestie too, and they are as thick as thieves. His friend (the sheriff) was shot in the line of duty, (center mass into his vest) . The impact knocked him unconscious and broke a rib. My husband panicked, and I had to take him up there. His wife called me telling me they were being crazy and both about to get kicked out of the hospital. They are inseparable. I am so sorry for your loss.

@TexChik thanks so much. You get it. You are so right. I’m crushed right now but memories are always there. I truly appreciate your comment.

@Coldplay Yes I do. All you can do is honor him and be there for his family if you are needed.
