La la land..
Wait, Ryan Gosling is actually Canadian.. 🥔😲 I had no idea.. A lot of Canadian singers and actors are mistaken for being American .. Well at least by me. lol O.o
Weird coincidence... his movie; La La land, and the musicals in it, have been officially my immigration songs and movie.
I remember that one night I watched the movie for the first time on December night in 2019, when I had just started preparing for my IELTS exam after a long pause, and yea, that movie (even though it has nothing to do with my plan) reminds me of planning to to make the year 2020, the year to submit the application (for reasons that I won't fully share here).
I literally got addicted to the songs in the movie, since the entire movie was about the love for jazz and I am a jazz lover 🥔🤷♀️ and it is why this is one of the very few movies that I actually loved.. even though it is romantic, really not my type generally.
I was listening to the songs like crazy the entire year of 2020, when I was working on my application, going through all phases, approvals. etc.... So now anytime I hear these songs, they just remind me of that period of time..
Sometimes I watch that movie just to get back some of the feelings I was having back then... The year 2020 may have sucked, and it was way too stressful for me, but I actually love it.
