Thunder Road by Springsteen. Landslide by Fleetwood Mac. There are others but those two are big. I love both but just hard to listen to.
@Bristolcat

There's an interesting but incomplete story involving Robert Mitchum's 1958 movie "Thunder Road"... the "incomplete" part being there's apparently no historical mention of Mitchum commenting on Springsteen's song.

Lots of them, but this one especially. And I still sing along.

That one I have no connection to and no experience to associate it with but there's something ,, when he says....when love is gone... That really gets to me...
Why for you if I can ask
I won't listen songs that make me cry

@faery yep this one gets me too
@faery I can’t listen to that one.
Hard for me to say I’m sorry by Chicago. I suffered my only episode of depression and when I slowly emerged from it this song was being played on the radio at that time. This song reminds me how I allowed myself to sink into depression.[media=https://youtu.be/1A0MPWseJIE]

I can never listen to that song.
The first chords get me right at the start, then when he says....looking back...That's it for me. I have to skip it.
You can share why it makes you sad if you want to.

Would it be too much to ask why. It doesn't strike me as the usual sad song. Must have some deep special meaning .
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
@CurrentName I can't explain it, no, it's always moved me deeply throughout. The end really gets me.

@uncalled4
I get it.
