this song brings me back to 1986 when i saw them live when i was 15 [media=https://youtu.be/E0ozmU9cJDg]
but whenever i hear songs by neil diamond it brings back sad memories of my dad's death as he (and my mom) loved his music and just hours before he died of cancer i got drunk and listened to just about every song he ever wrote...bawled my eyes out that night

@beermeplease my girlfriends mom died about a year ago. she was a huge Neil Diamond fan. my girlfriend gets choked up everytime one of his songs comes on because it brings back memories of her mom. Great song by Metallica. One of my all time favorites.

@MayorOfCrushtown my mom couldn't listen to neil diamond after dad died in 2009. mom died in 2022...i remember the night of that metallica concert on dec 19 1986. it was a friday night and christams break from school just started so my brother and i were pumped after we got home from school. we were responsible for doing the dishes but we were too excited to do them....well mom and dad got home just before we were to take a bus to the show and dad flipped out they weren't done...we high-tailed it out of there....he didn't say much the next day
