I don’t know why people post songs.

But we do…

It’s not sn amazing song, or band… but I like them. And more so, I like that cozy warm spot in my brain they it finds to settle in with and talk to.

I miss mixed tapes. I miss online forums that talk of music. Pop music has made music into a commodity. Social media has made us all think we have a voice (we do), making nonsense of personal lives, when simply some can express it better.....and why not give to those writers who can just spell it out better? Why did novelists become novelists? Why did poets become poets? Surely not all of us need to be published. 🤔
@thewindupbirdchronicles Me too.. now I only get to make playlists and they are not as easily shared. We do have an overwhelming amount of information/ entertainment to shuffle through to find the good bts. Gets ver tiring. But, I feel it provides a platform and a voice to things that would normally be discarded which can often be a shame. There are gems that would never have been seen without the internet making them shine.

@thewindupbirdchronicles I used to read Maximum Rock n Roll. A black and white punk rock Magazine from the 1990s. This one dude did an article on punks in the military. I was in the Air Force at the time. He sent me a mixtape and had all kinds of cool bands on it. Blaggers ITA. Voodoo Glow Skulls. The Queers. Johnny Cash. I'm sure I still have that old mixtape in all my old USAF letters.
