Many, worldwide, stand in solidarity with Iran’s brave women…

In France:

In Spain:

In Italy:

In the United Kingdom:

In Israel:

And in the United States (New York)
(San Francisco)

I wonder what we should do? Showing support is wonderful - but it will not change the regime or free the people. I worry about the cost in blood; but blood will come either way. In the end the Iranian people can be our greatest friends.

At this point nothing.

No, it won't. Change will have to come from within if it is to be lasting.

Very true and I worry about it as well. But as is often said, "Freedom is not free."

In the end the Iranian people can be our greatest friends.
I have written papers about this topic as far back as undergrad in 2014/15 and most recently as last year. I agree completely.

There is a power struggle across the Persian Gulf and I strongly believe we are backing the wrong team. The Kingdom of SA and most of the other Gulf Arab States are not our friends. The Persian people of Iran are natural friends of the West in so many ways if only they would throw off the binds of theocracy.

@sarabee1995 The alliance with Saudi Arabia is strange indeed.

@KiwiBird Very strange and not a natural alliance.
I hope light and love wins in the end cherie <3
@TryingtoLava So do I, mon amie. 🤗

If Iran will not finalize their horrid misogyny, cease beating women down for absurd extreme religious rites I cannot see how their country can maintain. They will never back down. These fearless beautiful brave women of Iran.

Standing here in Canada as well ✊

I hope they stay the course. The Mullahs regime does not really represent the will of Iran's rank and file, no more than the Shah represented it. It may have taken 40+ years, but I feel the tide is turning.
@Northwest I really, really hope so.

My neighbors are Iranian royalty who were lucky enough to escape,
The situation in Iran makes them very sad, as they still have relatives
residing there.

These are dudes that need to have their ridiculous culture laws brought down on their faces like a full handled shovel.

I hope this is the beginning of the end for the regime, and the next regime will not be an ally to Russia

I also hope Persian wine becomes a thing again
