Are women taking our jobs?

I’m noticing a trend now with men claiming women ruined the economy by entering the work force.

Is this the direction we are headed, America?

My grandpa survived the Holocaust and USSR. He had this idea that he would have some sort of freedom in the US.

I guess you are only free if you’re not a woman 💀 we are apparently ruining society with our jobs and abortions.

Lets think about this a moment.

So...wasn't it Dan Quayle that espoused "family values" (the Murphy Brown speech) at a time when it was rapidly becoming necessary to have a dual-income household in order to 'live the American Dream.'
(Note: The average inflation rate of the dollar between 1987 and 1993 was 4.03% per year. The cumulative price increase of the dollar over this time was 27.20%)

So more married women joined the workforce.... Please note that: The Bureau of Labor Statistics found that married women earn 75.5% as much as married men (BTW: stats tell us it is 94.2% for women who have never married).

So the answer to your question IMO is rather easy: Employers in general pay women less.

I've heard that theory about how women joining the work force ruined more than taking men jobs.
Mostly it seems to have ruined a mans control over owning women.

I haven't heard a single person saying women are ruining the economy.

I have heard that two people being employed per family has forever changed our economy, since house holds were making more, they had more to spend, and so companies could charge more for their products and get away with it. But some would argue that improved the economy, not ruined it... unless you were apart of a single working person family.

Also there are people (men and women) whom culturally believe the man should work, and the woman should stay home and take care of the house.... but usually they say it ruin the culture, not the economy.

PS: Not saying anyone is right or wrong, just saying what I've heard.
@Viper maybe I attract these people like moths to a lamp. But I have , hence my post. I’m talking about my life experiences here.

From understanding, economies work better when people spend money. More profits, more jobs, more competitive pay, etc.

My grandpa only worked in the 70’s. By the time he passed, I was in a two income household out of necessity. We would starve otherwise. I was born in 1996, he passed in 2012.

The person who said this to me is from PA. I live in PA. This is not how we behave, unless he’s Amish!

@666Maggotz I'm in PA, we sure do have some idiots here if they're saying that

It's a shame people still think this way in 2022.
