I Ve Got Something To Say

My province in Canada, British Columbia, has banned super market plastic bags as of March 1st,it seemed like an ok thing how much difference it will make in the long run remains to be seen, Christ they are paper thin to begin with. I am more concerned with the plastic they use for almost everything else its military grade i hate the stuff, you need a sharp Stanley knife and good pair of kitchen scissors if have any hope og getting into said package, you build houses for homeless with this stuff, no one will ever convince it is biodegradable maybe in 5000 years , 😕 thats my whine for the day cheers folks ,

Just a thought: That's on going here in the states too, paper replacing plastic, but someone said, hey how much in the way of getting paper processed ultimately from trees, will impact natural lands? And I agree w/ you on those hard as hell to open packages!

@soar2newhighs Paper used for paper bags, is mostly recycled. Plastic grocery bags, as thin as they may be, are a problem for wildlife, and end will end up in our water supplies / oceans / lakes / rivers as micro plastic.

A paper bag, at the end of the day. is biodegradable.
i got this

we had this in some cities where I live just south of you

best part? no bags festooning the trees,, fences, power lines,

i see that in many states, along with busted glass and smushed cans,,
i LIKE a cleaner town for sure!

but yeah all that craaazy packaging.
had a damn attack trying to get crap open,

@SatyrService its true they are so frustrating to get open ,how did we get so protective of silly objects, 😂
@english actually, I blame it on stupid people. between protecting us from using Q-tips in our ears to warning us that caution coffee is hot. to be tricky packaging that is not only hard to open, but often disguises how little product is within.. That coffee can once a pound is not 12 ounces the same often for things like bacon. A container of cookies that looks like it should hold has 15 each and a little plastic bubble.
