Boo-Boo & I Understand Each Other…

When the he is being loud and making a fussing noise I tell him “Bird you are so loud, you need to be quieter.” He started responding by saying “Chirp” and then I say “Chirp” back to him and he stops fussing & being loud. Has been doing this for a couple weeks.

And now I am sitting in the bedroom with the door open and he starts his EEP-EEP-EEP in a high-pitched voice. He wants me to come back in the living room and do more chores. When I was in the kitchen this morning cooking he says “We don’t work here” and then commented on me working. I had been not feeling good at all for almost a week before and wasn’t doing any chores or cooking. Now that I am he is wanting me to take care of him. Their cages were cleaned by the boy late last night and they were given food & water but he wants ME to take care of him. He must be a Mama’s boy or something.

@cherokeepatti that so cute. On seed refill day one of my birds will lift up the side of the bowl and bang it up and down to “remind” me, even if I’m not out of bed yet.

@itsok Boo-Boo will say “Take care of me” or “Will you take care of me?” And then “Yuuuuck, Yuck” several times. Throughout the day sometimes. He doesn’t want to wait till evening to get his cafe cleaned. He was whining all day long a few weeks ago and when I went to get some clothes out of the dryer I heard him say “Nobody cares for me.”. I had been feeling really bad for a few days and not coming into the living room and sitting near their cages and interacting with the birds. All he wanted was me to be near him & talk to him.

@cherokeepatti I am being observed right now

Whenever I haven’t given them enough attention one of my birds will swoop at me a few times until I invite her to hang out with me. If I don’t she will occasionally land on a dog and nibble an ear or pull hair
