I perfectly understand why people don't trust someone they don't know. It's safer to be wary at first and build the trust gradually through experiences with the person as opposed to blindly trust anyone and only learn when it's too late.

You don't need to prove anything to anybody. Remember that the next time someone shares their opinion of you.
