And you can pretend it was done due to some moral superiority over them being a "troll", and not your lack of ability to convey an argument.

That seems the 101 online. Imagine any institution in real life acting like that.

Or they respond to reasoned arguments by making disgusting and mendacious comments about you and anyone connected to you.

Sometimes I block people without responding to them on the grounds they have sent me disgusting direct messages. I don't need their comments and I don't see why I should put up with it.

If you think that makes me appear unreasonable, that's for you to deal with. The only time I will be answerable is when I have done or said something wrong. Trolls do exist on this site and I will block them without warning. And I have done so

@autumngirl27 Blocking over abusive messages is completely reasonable. Yet, most of the time the block is just used when the other person doesn't have a suitable response, here is the latest one:
