Don't have an argument? Do this: 1. identify person who disagrees with you. 2. Label them a "troll" 3. Block them so there is no opportunity to lose

And you can pretend it was done due to some moral superiority over them being a "troll", and not your lack of ability to convey an argument.

That seems the 101 online. Imagine any institution in real life acting like that.

Orrrr.... refuse to debate. It's a waste of time and raises your cortisol

@seaglass That's true. I've been so much more productive when I just get on with work and exercise and don't engage online.

Yet, occasionally i think "I'm going to post my opinion, this person seems normal", but nope. Every time. As soon as they aren't sure how to challenge a point, the troll label is thrown at you, ironically by someone acting a lot more like a "troll". And a block quickly ensues.

@markinkansas Click "Edit Profile" from your page, click "Blocked Users & Groups", click "Muted Groups" and enter the group name in the provided space below - there you can also review and manage your list of muted groups/forums, or go to the group/forum page you want to mute and mute it from the bottom of the group's description box
