Sometimes the heart falls faster than the mind can think. Many women fall for men online — sweet words, late-night chats, promises that sound like forever. But behind the screen, you don’t always know the truth. Not every man who says “I love you” has love in his heart.

How long did it take for you to realize this? At what age did you wisen up?

And let’s be real — there are things we do knowing deep down it’s not right. But the “feel-good” moment is powerful, almost addictive. The danger is, what feels good for a short while can cost you peace, dignity, trust, and even your future.

True..

This is something new to me. Not trying to be a smart ass just sharing my experience as I go through this journey

While all your words are true, and I know a woman's heart thinks of protecting a woman's heart. This can happen to men also. We can become emotionally invested, or make foolish choices in hope or romance, and instead of what felt good once comes with hurt after.

I just choose, I made my choices, even if they bring me harm. Been through my share and will be again, because another truth is we never know what the future comes with for us.
That depends on how gullible the woman is. 😂

I definitely don't agree that men are the real culprits here. I don't think that's being realistic. Women can be just as brutal. Think of all the gold diggers. A lot depends on how person was brought up, how the other person treats them, their trust level, etc.

However this next part you said, I really like. It is imperative!

"Ladies, value yourself [YES!!!] enough to pause, to question, to test the fruit before you eat it. Not everything sweet is safe. Remember — a man worth your time will never push you into a place where you feel guilty, broken, or ashamed.

✨ Protect your heart. Protect your worth. Choose what builds you, not what breaks you."

Thank you for sharing your perspective 🌹. I do agree that both men and women can be at fault — it’s not one-sided. And about the point on being “gullible,” I think sometimes it’s less about gullibility and more about longing for love, attention, or connection. When the heart is vulnerable, even the strongest person can overlook red flags.

That’s why I believe the message is so important: no matter who we are, we need to slow down, test the fruit, and value ourselves enough to walk away from anything that doesn’t bring peace. In the end, wisdom grows when we learn from mistakes, and strength shows when we choose better next time. 💎
@Logybear50 Yes ma'am but gullibility can play a big part in that as well.

Theirs no way to know who is behind a set of words ,if you trust blindly it's at your peril ,trust isn't just words , but actions,behaviour especially when in various situations ,betrayal is surely not a one way traffic it goes in all directions on all humans...just making it men centric shows a bias could be out of your personal hurt ..by the way women are more likely to make it public than men ""that they were betrayed ""but that doesn't mean women don't betray men .

I totally agree
Are you a writer by any chance? I think so. Your sentence structure and flow are beautiful. Where did you learn to write like that?
I don’t fall for men online because I’m not naive and wasn’t born yesterday.

Good for you 😁
@Logybear50 Thank you
In my experience with online eros, I have arrived at a sad generalization: most of the time, women are lonely and men are horny. Neither is quite looking for what the other has to offer... though it can seem like it for a time.

I couldn't have said it better

Good advice
Either sex ... always meet up IRL within 1-2 months and until then keep it simple. If someone isn't willing to meet within that time, it's a flaming sign telling you to use the block button.
@Magicianzini You're a smart man! Exactly!!
@Magicianzini Interesting point.

Real men ruin everything. That's why I recently purchased an inflatable 'Ken doll" (who of course is Barbie's Wednesday night sideline) and I got the extended warranty with him, which includes roadside assistance should he have a blowout.

You can probably say the same thing about women
Logybear50 · 46-50, F
Can you please use your words. I'm old school, even If it's insulting 😁

@Logybear50 aren't you biased ,it's all individually based not on men or women ..

Mostly when women ruin it, they pin the blame on men
Logybear50 · 46-50, F
Yah and that usually happens when the woman don't want to play along anymore and tries to get serious 😳

@Logybear50
So this is a serious discussion?
Why is friendship such a difficult topic between men and women?
Why is it that women and men can't do things together without feeling, "It has to go somewhere. There has to be 'love' at the end of it or it ends here?"

Note: I'm 75 and I would definitely not want to live alone for the rest of my life.
I am retired, I have a pension, I'm not looking for a home or for someone to physically care for me - I will share the caring by caring for someone emotionally - and if they need more care than I can physically give them - why can't I still be their friend and visit them in a nursing home? Do you REALLY have to live together 24 hours a day?
GET REAL: The human soul needs friendship and inter-gender friendship is much nicer than just having a 'friend-friend'.
I know several of my friends who do this (be friends, but live apart) - so why are yiou folks on here unable to let go of the 'vows for life' thing?
If there's sex.... then let there be sex.... but don't make that the only basis of your friendship - be emotionally supportive and NICE to each other (and have other friends too if that's what makes it EVEN. We only go through this life once!
