Is it just me or do women really mature earlier than men?

Meeting people and conversation wise, from what I've experienced, it just felt like that more often than not.

Even some grown men who are professionals tend to make their decisions out of spite or are looking for someone to feed that emotional void inside of them. I'm not saying women don't. Some do too.

Women have their own problems. Men have theirs. Maybe they're the same in different ways.

But based on the people I've talked to, the women know better to hide and ignore their own pain to keep doing what is needed and not quit when they have to.

The men I have met...well, many of them, let's just say I can't help but wish they're wiser, more responsible, more dependable, more mature or more protective. Even when dealing with their own shit. Even when taking care of themselves.

Or maybe I've just changed.
I mean that is true too.
They did say girls who look for heroes but find none end up becoming the heroes themselves.
That, I can attest, is true in my own experience.

So then, what use do I have for a prince when I am already a queen? What use do I have for someone who offers me the world when I don't even want it?

I guess...it's just harder to look for things that aren't tangible.

The tangible part is like a stepping stone, a given. Any prince or king would have it. Even a knight or a baker could work to earn it. But the strength inside, the wisdom to manage it well, the heart to care, to know and prioritize the things most important...it feels like it's rare. Maybe a one in a billion thing.

That sometimes I can't help but wonder, are they even for real? Do people like that really exist?
