Happy International Women's Day folks.

May I ask why we need celebration? Like lgbt parade's month, black history month, International Men's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc..

I like the celebration but somehow I feel being patronised like my sex/gender is weak that need to be celebrated like after those gender equality backlashed, I don't know why but I feel like insulted.
Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women's equality. Collectively we can all #EmbraceEquity.
I can't see why this would be an insult to women, nor it being patronizing towards women. It's about recognizing how far we've come towards gender equality today, but also how far we have left to go yet.
