I Wish Common Sense Was More Common

What on earth could possibly make someone think that medical advice from a stranger on the internet is the best way to get such information? Half the people on the internet would pay cash money to watch an on camera suicide, and these are the people you’re trusting with your life or the lives of your loved ones?

I tell myself at least some of the time those questions are ... "I can't sleep for worrying about this and the doctor isn't available till morning, somebody reassure me so I can sleep."

There was a day those conversations were held with experienced extended family members, and now for some, the net IS the extended family.

@Mamapolo2016 And would you trust someone's idiot brother to give you medical advice? This is the same guy that told you the way to save 15 years worth of graphic design work on your computer was to hit ctrl+alt+delete.
Would I? No. I was merely suggesting some aren't actually looking for medical advice and diagnosis but a little comfort until they can see a doctor. @xixgun

@Mamapolo2016 And some are seeking legitimate real medical advice. There's a real difference in "You should never take any medications, or vaccinations as they will make you braindead, unless you eat kale." and "What we did..." or "What I did was..."

One is (bad) advice, the other is experience.
Thank you for explaining.@xixgun
