They need to apply the ban to 65+ years old children too

@FreddieUK Age gating social media is dumb, especially when it's done in substitution of what the state should really do: regulate it. Unregulated social media is damaging for everyone, it's not that when one turns 16 it suddenly becomes "safe"

But if we want to pretend that young people need to be shielded from smm for their own safety, so should be the seniors, especially in light of all the scams and targeted propaganda perpetrated through them that disproportionately affect the upper age group.

Or, if we want to do things really well they could set a minimum age of 150 😏

@Elessar I knew you had my best interests at heart really. 😏

@FreddieUK Look, this week alone we've seen Orbàn getting ousted and NYC placing a tax on the uber-rich, some EU MEP may even come across my provocation and decide to outright scrap the age gate thing and force Meta to reshape itd algorithm and reinvent their moderation instead. 🤞🏻

@Elessar If they could force a huge money grabbing corporation to reduce its income a little by changing it algorithms it would be a major cultural/political shift.
