It's why you want two factor authentication. I actually have three different ways set up on one of my email accounts.

@DeWayfarer Apart from the email which other option do you have?
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Thandeka a set of ten codes set up by the service. They expire upon use. If you run out you'll need to get more codes.
Phone numbers are often apart of most two factor authentication.

@DeWayfarer Let me see if I can add my phone number on there. Thanks by the way.

@Thandeka unfortunately I doubt it'll do you any good.
You have to have all that before you lose your password.
Including a third way, which is a set of questions with your own responses.

@DeWayfarer What am I going to do now 😭😭😭😭
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Thandeka nothing until you recall your old password.
I only mentioned those options for future accounts. 🤷🏻♂️
I would definitely have at least one of those options if not all three on any account you currently have access to.
Why I mentioned them.
