Border security patrol searching our bus. Whatever happened to Schengen Rule. Ah, probably it's because the group is a mixture of different nationalities from all over the world. I admit I was shaken a little bit because of my cannabis chocolate, biscuits and lollipops. 馃槍

I see the patrol are German... Where was the bus from? Italy? ("Mengozzi")

@drymer Yes, Italy, however the tour started in Amsterdam.馃檪

@SW-User Ah... I vaguely remember when the whole refugee crisis started in Europe last year (or was it the year before?) there was talk about "suspending" some aspects of the Schengen Rule, but frankly I don't know exactly what happened or if there were actual/official changes to it...

@drymer One change I am aware of is crossing borders is no longer a hassle, unlike before. I was thinking, the reason why our bus was searched it's because our group is composed of delegates from non-Schengen countries too.....But just the same, I had the scare of my life.

That makes perfect sense...

My parents tell me a story when they traveled from Bavaria to Berlin by train, in the 1960s, passing through communist East Germany, they said that was terrifying, it seemed that the East German guards checking people's papers made a point of being "rude and scary"...

@drymer I am aware that with the Schengen Rule, searching/checking is no longer mandatory on crossing borders. But like I said, there are indeed delegates from non-Schengen countries in the group and that must be the reason why it was done. Thank you.馃檪
