I am on a hunt for positive people
Sometimes we meet people who aren't related to us (by blood), but we can relate to them, they can relate to us.. and they can do much for us, just by having their energy in our life.. Much more than those with blood relations. Actually those, sometimes can do a lot to us, but not for us.
I met this kind lady on my trip, and while I didn't tell her much about my life, but enough about my past and future, she said a few things that really lift up my soul and motivated me..
Our bus was passing by some of the firms I used to work at, and she pointed this to me since she knew my profession and her husband used to work at an ex employer of mine too.. I told her, I might be making some career changes as well when I make my move, she paused and said with such kindness in her tone; "I am so proud of you. You are going to turn your whole life around".. That really touched me.. Such positive outlook, such support, and kindness.. I have not had this support or positiveness from my family for any change I made/ thought of making, as far as I could remember. If anything, most of them just naturally opposed changes, or mocked, which is another way of opposing them. I don't think I remember anyone in my family ever telling me that they were proud of something I did, while this stranger said it after knowing me for a day..
Now that I went back home, I messaged her saying that I am back, and even though I did not tell her much about my struggles or family problems, I think she read it knowing my background. Her instant response was to tell me that I am on a life journey, and that I should not let anyone make me feel bad about it..and I won't!
I feel lucky to have met such an interesting positive person, and I'd like to keep her around... I am on the hunt for positive people.
