I'm going to get flack for this but why are so many gay men so damn mean?

I'm gay too and I am so damn sick of the attitudes and cattiness. Everytime I work with a dude who is gay they're nasty for no reason or if I meet them somewhere outside of work they're just nasty. Why? This type of crap is why people hate us and give us a bad name. I'm not saying everyone must be like me but also be like me just a regular dude who so happens to like dudes. Everytime I bring it up or say something about it I get called homophobic or a hater. Well no I'm neither of those things I just don't get why some gotta be so damn mean. Ugh no wonder why I don't bother with the so called community because what community is there. Community is about coming together and building something great but it's not great at all.
