There's not much to really say, except "I did not know, spoke out of ignorance towards what other people's perspectives were.
Mercedes Lackey is less than perfect and a flawed messenger for inclusion.
I'm just livid and beside myself because it's like in her Era she would have been hailed and revered for what she did back in the day but today the perfect is the enemy of the good.
Human beings for the most part in my experience have been disappointing like this. ::Gestures vaguely out of frustration: but why?
Lackey has done an incredible amount for inclusion and tolerance but since she wasn't all inclusive of everyone and didnt' get around to every group is perceived as Satan, she moved the goal post through her writings and now we want more.
But nobody wants to admit that iwthout her the goalpost might be like wy behind where it is now.
