I Need to Rant

The pain has invited my old friend depression and that shithead has made itself right at home. Now I can’t stop crying. My stupid face is all red and puffy and I need to get it together. I’m hiding out in a conference room right now with a giant wet wad of toilet paper I grabbed from the ladies room. It’s sort of ridiculous enough to be cheered up by the sight of it.

Winter's Rose

by: Rob Paquin

Beneath the winter's snows, buried there are things so deep below,
Like a love that's lost it's soul, lies a row of summer's rose.
Waiting just to be exposed.

So perfectly deranged. Like a soul that's now estranged.
Lie those roses, sleeping there unchanged. Their beauty much the same.
A flame of life to rearrange.

And yet that rose, it just can't see. That their beauty is just asleep.
Bound dormant, until released, by the summer's warming heat.
It's such a temporary freeze.

Inside the rose's heart, there lies the hope of a fresher start.
Like a piece of abstract art, provoking colors splashed across the chart
Thoughts from inside, wisdom imparts.

So the rose..., she must believe, that the summer comes for she.
With it's sun she'll be set free. A bloom that all can see.
Of the highest level of degree.

And, from inside out..., she is reborn. Love's light, inside...; Adorned.
The past, now gone, and scorned,. No longer to be mourned.
With a heart that's been forewarned.

So much stronger the rose now grows. Sprouting forth from beneath the snows.
To greet the life that is bestowed. With a soul now predisposed,
To shine and glow.
Beauty..; Unopposed.
