You ever meet someone who has a profession that you hated or have no trust in, but then this person made the field look not so bad?

Cause I got curious about that too. An old roommate knew some guys who were training in the military and wanted to introduce me. But I had concerns. Not to mention, I wasn't ready then. I was at uni.
