EP v SW - Was it easier to meet people ?

I know there are a lot of old EP members here. I'm interested if you managed to meet anyone from the old days? It was so much easier to find local people. We had a few Dallas groups. Now there are no city groups at all from what I can tell,

I have not met one person from SW, mainly because it's so difficult to find people in the same city. There's a couple of people I know of, just because they mention it, but I met some good people before.

Maybe it's just a changing world, but I think it's more like a changing SW making it difficult.
