I'm avoidant too.. doesn't effect me so much on line. just real life.. I self isolate more than is healthy. I'm fully functional with work and stuff.. but I simply avoid social situations.. especially groups.. as *one on one* is much much easier nd less overwhelming. does any of this sound familiar.. how does being avoidant manifest itself in your own life?
@Peacefulpanda I'm Avoidant and Borderline, so self isolation is my go to, while I constantly crave interaction. I have trouble maintaining conversations, even online so it's hard to find people that are patient and understanding. I leave home once a week for grocery shopping, and am doing CBT and DBT therapy.
@Pseudoaesthetic you're still young and already getting help.. the future is bright for you! keep at it.. you'll find a balance.. a way to honor both sides of your existence.. the need to have personal space and the need to be social. you'll work out your path through this challenging condition.
