am i petty for this?

like a month ago i held the door open at work for this dude and he didn’t say thank you. okay cool, maybe he was having a day.

yesterday i’m walking in front of him again, he’s a little ways back, and i still hold the door open… tell me why he still didn’t say thank you 🥴

sir??? it costs $0 to have manners.

now i’m really fighting the urge to act like i’m holding it next time until he gets close to the door and then just let it close on him 😭 but i probably won’t do that… because clearly i have home training even if he doesn’t.

i don’t play that rude energy though lol. a simple thank you goes a long way.

You are not petty. Trust your gut. It’s never wrong. Be mean to men. Just let yourself in. He is being rude and he doesn’t deserve you to wait for him or extend any further courtesy..

And honestly? We are not mean enough to men, be as mean as you can in all of your “house training”. Even if at first all you have the courage to do is just holding it with less effort. And eventually you will reach where you don’t feel bad for not holding the door open for him.
