People Have no Manners

I have posted about this before. People have no manners. I just got back from Iceland a week or so ago. I met 2 sisters from Michigan. Both married but one's husband is disabled and can't travel. She casually mentioned her husband loves foreign coins and boy, do I have them. I was trying to find a way to get rid of them.

So I asked for her address and packaged them all up in individual baggies identified by country. I paid 13.00 to ship them. I never received a thank you or acknowledgment they had arrived.

If someone does something nice, what is wrong with saying thank you?

Courtesy, or the attempt not to hurt the other person's feeling is something that's indeed lacking today. Once, in the 1960s it was so self-evident that one would hear a parent tell a child anywhere to say thank you. What's wrong now? Try everything. Even tv-program personalities becoming too big for their own boots. I'm so sorry that it happened to you. I know of a recent happening that is even worse. Someone wrote out very old-fashioned Church of England Easter cards and gave them to every parshioner last sunday. On a social media app everyone got a thank you except her. Somehow it's now proper for even a christian to get so mean because of envy
