People. Love. Dignity. Meaning. Self worth. Faithfulness. Friendship. Loving life. Investing in children. Values. Not destroying the planet or causing extinction. Air you can breathe. Not eating unhealthy foods or being exposed to toxicity to make profits for others. Building a positive society. Honesty. Being true to yourself...
You get the point. There are people who sacrifice any of these for money because all that matters is themselves and their own. I think it makes them lesser people, like they've cut off part of the humanity they might have had emerging as a child.

@Abstraction Sometimes I wonder if those people were disappointed as children so choose money as their first love.

@revenant Agree. It can be an insatiable pursuit like a drink that never quite quenches.
I always thought the biggest disappointment would be, not falling short of what you pursued throughout life, but reaching it... and the realisation it wasn't really what you wanted.
