I listen, but people read me wrong regularly. I don't get defensive but just speak my truth and move on.

Both. I'm working on getting better at this. Was raised by extremely critical mother, so any criticism is viewed as being attacked instead of a possible learning experience. I am trying.

Very much depends on the circumstances. If it's from a good friend I will always listen respectfully...before I ignore them. 🤣
HoeBag · 51-55, F
I do not get criticism. Probably because I am practically perfect.
Unless it was at my old job. Then it was almost daily. I tended to ignore it. Cause apparently, saying "Whatever" wasn't a nice response.

If I'm sober I listen. If I'm drunk, I sometimes listen, sometimes get defensive.

Depends on the situation. When attacked I will defend myself.

@DeWayfarer That goes double for me.
Depends on situation and source. Even then it tends to be either listening or in one ear, out the other. Not interested in arguing the point.
Listen, that’s how we know what bothers people

Depends on if it's constructive or not.

Depends on WHO it's coming from and if it actually is something valid.
