what do you do in times where people don't 'listen' to you

you're talking with someone, you tell them things 'relevant' to what you're discussing, but they don't listen and continue to go on about their own agenda.

you ever had those times? what do you do?

Used to make me angry and I'd even yell at people for doing it at times but now it doesn't bother me so much. People need an outlet I reel myself in and listen, even engage if it is somewhat interesting.
