It's wild to see so many people try to advance their political positions by attacking another side

I've never seen it work at all, the extremes on each side just entrench and it becomes a toxic shit fight that even normal people start avoiding and denouncing. It wins the "I make the most noise" war and loses people. Winning hearts and minds is done with positivity and vision and solutions, not insults and muckraking.
