I'll assume this pertains to Male loyalty.

They could be anywhere for all I know.
Researching the cause, consulting experts or contemplating cures. They might even be summoning allies or subduing devils. Of course there's endless possibilities. Laying traps whilst preparing the buffet for those that forced someone's only feared and respected frenemy to not be himself, should ofc, be considered.

It'd be lots less complicated if more men were man like in their convictions.
