Why are people judge mental about people when it comes to renting a room?

I understand wanting someone who can pay the rent and who is responsible, but I’m sick of reading things like fun people only. I don’t want to spend time with my roommate. As long as I pay who cares?

Maybe they are looking for someone to be a friend and hang out with, it’s not judgemental, they just want the right person to share their house.
